Default Why ther US Census isn't counting Dominicans???

Why aren't they??? I figured by right about now, Dominicans would surpass cubans as the number three Hispanic, behind only Puerto Ricans and Mexicans in America, especially in the East Coast. What I mean is that they're not counting Dominicans as a separate group and instead adding them with the "Other Latinos" section. Why???

They do count Dominicans. Cubans still number three in the U.S. because they don't have the movility that Dominicans have, hundreds of thousands of Dominicans who are entitle to live in the U.S. legally preferred to live in the DR and just go to visit as tourist, Cuban can't do that, they have to stay in the U.S. Cuba is off limit for them.

Yes, they are counting Dominicans.

PJT recently filled out special* household census this past November from the US Census Bureau. It did have a section where one can can declare if you or a member of your household is of Dominican descent.

*The country census is taken every ten years, last of which was 2000 and the next full census will be in 2010. The census PJT filled was one sent to random households by the census bureau to obtain a snap picture of population trends within his New England community.

Regards,
PJT

What I meant is that why isn't the Census giving Dominicans their own section within the Hispanic population like the Puerto Ricans and Cubans have???

They can't give every ethnic or nationality group its own section in the Census, because then the Census instead of being a couple of pages, it will be a whole book which doesn't make any sense.
