Inquiring about opening a beauty retail store

I'm a Canadian new to this board researching if Dominican Republic would be good for personal and business. I have a mineral makeup line and plan on carry body scrubs, moisturizers. Are Dominican women into their appearance that these products are ideal to them?

how do you plan on getting the products here without it being taxed so much that it wont be profitable

You will be dealing with Avon plus the major stores like Pola/La Sirena and others who know how to import huge containers of the stuff....
