I know there is a Dominican owned and run cigar shop in the gas lamp district in San Diego that is a kind of Dominican meeting point. California is a big place! Any particular region or city?

I recently moved to the bay area, specifically Oakland, CA about three months ago. I haven't seen a Dominican person, restaurant, etc., anywhere around here. I know the Dominican population in this part of California is very poor. I know there have to be some Dominicans here though, so if you're Dominican and you live in the bay, let me know!

JUST some Info

Hi,

Please remember to look at the flyer enclosed for the Dominican Day at Dodger Stadium, honoring Manny Mota.

I ask you to please purchase at least one ticket if you are not going to make it to the game.

The ticket you purchase will be donated to the Manny Mota Foundation and the ticket will go to one of the foundation’s underprivileged children recipients.

However if you shall decide to join us with your friends or even purchase the ticket for your friend, take a look at everything you are getting for the price,

Especially that collectors special edition “boblehead”.

One more thing, call me if you want to pay cash or with a check. I can also accept payments through Paypal. Papal tickets however cost $3.00

more because of the processing fee. So $38.00 with paypal. I will email your confirmation for tax purposes. All payments need to be made out to Isabella Wall for I have paid for the tickes in advance.

But please come and join us in this fun day and experience partying the way Dominicans know how. IT’S GOING TO BE FUN!!!!! AND WHO KNOWS... YOU MIGH EVEN MEET A DOMINICAN PLAYER OR TWO.

Thank you for doing this for me, it’s much appreciated it.

Isabella

I was just curious of how many Dominicans are in California. I have been living in Los Angeles for 7 years and have met very few Dominicans. I would love to participate in Dominican events if there are any. I know someone hosts some events at the Hollywood Park Casino but I can't find the source.

Default Any Dominican's in San Francisco-livermore Pleasanton area

We are hosting a 23 year old Dominican college student for at least 3 years this December and I was wondering if there are any Dominican's in the area? If so, could you send us your email or phone #?

Does anyone know if the Dominican Carnival in Hollywood was cancelled? I was really looking forward to attending it back on 10/11/09 but when I went to the Dominican Carnival in Hollywood site to get info the day before, I didn't see anything. If any Dominican events happen, someone PM me, otherwise my West Coast Dominican culture will consist of talking to my family and drinking Brugal and whatever Presidente I bring back.
