It is often overlooked that the economic value of an AI are the sankies working there.

Their clientele do not only send much needed currency and visit repeatedly but many a time also invest in the country (> future building):
lots are bought, homes built and furnished, family members are sent to doctors, etc.

One cannot help but acknowledge that sankies are beneficial for the country's economy.
This should outweigh broken hearts by far.

We know several Dres. Lic. Sankies.
They have retired quite wealthy from the job.

Guess, they would consider a lecturer's position if remunerated decently.
