Don't worry abou that EFM, they will make more!!
Usually, I refrain from commenting on what the originally poster might be thinking and only try to provide constructive answers. But even I have to say that this was one of the most clueless posts outside of the Sanky forum.

Hmm.... isn't that what you are doing?
Simply replace "illegal haitians working in jobs they qualify as low standard" with "foreigners with at least some money wanting to create jobs for people who need it".
The rest fits your viewpoint quite well.
Funny how a backward mind works!
Thanks for the insight!

Don't let the truth stand in the way of a good story .... btw, no country has ever 'collapsed' (or filed for 'bankruptcy' with the World Court, LOL!!!)... there may extreme poverty but, NEVER collapse.

What a let down but then again it makes less work for me. I saw the title of this (thread?) and figured I’d have to move it to the Venus forum but upon further investigation I determined it didn’t belong there and thought seriously about the clown bin but figured what the heck here is a good a place as anywhere.
EFM welcome to DR1. I can see that you’re going to be a hit with the members.
Your OP contained 288 words of which four are misspelled, five require capital letters and three require punctuation and you’re short a question mark and one period. I let you slide with the word “PRicans”
Out of that OP the only part that is completely true without question was, “the people in the country are definitely not benefiting from the riches of this country”. This means that you are batting a 5.2083 percentage accuracy rating, something I think you need to work on.
For your information the really accurate sentence, “the people in the country are definitely not benefiting from the riches of this country”, has always been a problem since the days of CC back in the 1400’s.

Mr. Bob, you may be a bad speller, (or not care), but you're one funny guy. This one gave me my daily laugh dosage! Thank you.

I read a lot in this forum, i notice a lot of hate towards Haiti, which was supposed to have a relationship like Canada and the US, even if they dont necessarily love each other. I see a lot of hate toward PRicans too, and a lot of ignorant comments. If you want my opinion, Dominican republic is doing wonderful in the development, but terrible in the long run, reason why..most businesses are owned by foreigners, foreigners from around the world come and invest in DR, cause the land there is practically free, the government is happy with their percentage, and give complete freedom to foreigners. I know so many people in Canada, US, even Haiti that came to DR to get their piece of land. Whats really happenning is investors are coming, establish a business , they pay the goverment the tax, the government take care of their well-being, and thats the end of the day. Where are the dominicans in that? If the country is doing so good ( and I heard someone say it was doing better than PR), why do so many people abroad have to send their hard earned money back home. I think there is a misconception that needs to be considered. Right now the people in the country are definitely not benefiting from the riches of this country. Soon it will collapse

think you are looking through rose tinted glasses at the dominicans situation here.land etc is "free' just about here.have you looked at any of the prices of land, apts, houses etc recently especially in any of the coastal areas?also who is selling this land to the "big bad forigen investors"?dominicans maybe?i think too that you are under the impression that all dominicans are poor.there are quite litreally millions of "rich"dominicans who own tons of land, factorys, apt blocks, shops etc, etc, etc that do an awful lot less for their "own people"than do many, many big bad investors who hand over tons of money for what is VERY ofton over priced land, and then in turn go out and pump their hard earned cash into the local econemys.take every "gringo'out of this poor "starving'(my hat, obesity is rife!)country and you would soon see what a positive affect out side investors have HERE and on ANY country.i think ALL dominicans want to take a good hard look at themselves and stop, just like you blaming the problems of the country and the"poor"on outsiders.charity begins at home.........
