I feel tempted to post pictures of my grandmother and uncle, as they both look very indigenous.

Very nice pictures! I posted on this thread a picture of a woman from San Jose de Ocoa who also has stringly Native features as well. Your grandmother and you appear to have a lot a Native descent. Would be interesting to interview your grandmother and ask her about her grandparents time and about the local culture, which I think speaks a lot more about people than phenotype or genotype.
Thanks for the pics, would you allow me to archive your pictures?
All the best

My wife is from a campo of La Vega and has very (what could be called) indigenous features: high cheekbones, honey complexion, wavy (not straight) black hair. Total babe...lol.

Thank you for the kind comments, and of course you can archive the pictures.
However, that is not me in the picture it's my uncle, who is perhaps the most indigenous looking in my family next to my grandmother.
As for me, I came out looking mainly European with green eyes, and brown hair with a little blond mixed in. By observing the physical characteristics of my family members, I concluded that I'm probably a mix of all three: Eurasian, Taino, and African. I would love your input on this, however.

Oh sorry for the mix-up! The most I can tell you is that most Dominicans according to Autosomal DNA testing appear to be a mixture of all three, Native American, African and European. Of course with differences in percentages. Sometimes these differences are within a single family! For example two brothers from the same biological family may have different autosomal percentages, so one will appear to be more genetically this of that than the other. mtDNA however shows you direct lines through your maternal side.
Your picture certainly reflects all your lineages. I have a cousin named Ambiori who looks just like you, except that his eyes are more Asian and his hair very Nappy!
Thanks for the pics and the permission to archive.

Estudio demuestra que parte de dominicanos conserva genes taínos
The study indicates that 15% to 18% of the Dominican population has Taino ancestry trough maternal lineage. Looking forward to some feedback from Baracutay.
