I was surprised to find out Andy was Dominican. I expect a lot of Latinos think he is from some other LA country.

With which company did you got tested? Mitochondrial DNA only tests for your maternal line (halo group), it doesn't give you any racial percentages, or did you also tested your autosomal DNA? Anyway what was your mtDNA if you don't mind sharing.

23andme and they did both, the maternal and paternal lines. I opted out of the sharing feature.

I even have a copy of my whole decoded genome, although I don't know what I'm going to do with it. lol

That's awsome, I also took the 23andme test, if you're Cibaeño or have Cibaeño roots, than we're probably related, nearly all Cibaeños at 23andme have come out related in one way or another. You can send your decoded Genome to many projects out there, the best one in my opinion is Mcdonald, he'll further brake down your admixture percentages, for example he will tell you from where in Europe your European ancestry is from, and other interesting stuff. This is his email if your're interested mcdonald@scs.uiuc.edu.
