Default pecking order of hispanics ?

What is the "pecking order" of hispanics?

Who thinks they are better than whom?

Do PR's think they are superior since they can freely travel to the US?

just curious.........

I think that it goes by region. I have heard that Costa Ricans feel superior than other central Americans, and in south america, Chileans/Argentinians (because of strong cultural ties to Europe) /Brazilians (Latin American economic giant) feel superior to the rest.

This is a very touchy subject. I am not hispanic but... living in NYC you get the low down on who thinks who is better. God forbid you accidentally think a Puerto Rican is a Dominican and vis versa.

Everyone thinks they are better. Their Spanish is better. In ...... they pronounce the S but in...... they don't..... The people that pronounce the S sound snobby to the the people who don't. The people who don't pronounce it sound illiterate... to the people who do.

Dark women are beautiful... White women are beautiful...In ..... Their woman are prettier. In..... Their country is more beautiful. Who likes their rice like..... who likes their rice like........

It's very subjective.

Thumbs down

In the Major Antilles (Cuba, Puerto Rico, Hispaniola):

Cubans dump on Puerto Ricans,
Puerto Ricans dump on Dominicans,
Dominicans dump on Haitians,
Haitians are the lowest on the ladder.

In a nutshell:

When Fidel came to power in Cuba in 1959, the majority of wealthy professionals got up and left. Many came to Puerto Rico to live and set up their offices ( doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc. ). Puerto Ricans were their hired help. This made some Cubans feel superior to their Puerto Rican employees.

As the economic situation worsened in the Dominican Republic, many poor Dominicans got up and left. Many came to Puerto Rico to live and work as best they could. Dominicans were hired help. This made some Puerto Ricans feel superior to their Dominican employees.

In addition, as the economic situation worsened in Haiti, many poor Haitians got up and left. Many crossed into the Dominican Republic to live and work as best they could. Haitians were hired help. This made some Dominicans feel superior to their Haitian employees.

Finally, the Haitians are f@cked as they have nobody to whom they can feel superior!

Default I have an image in front of me

The scene--a group of PR's in for the weekend at an AI (like La Hamaca). There to party only. Spending money and drinking like there is no tomorrow.Demanding service even more so than a gringo from the States. Loud. Rude. Feeling an entitlement that is their's alone.

Or, sharing some space, like a restaurant, in NYC.Bold and not at all like a Dominican that perhaps has not been in NYC for any length of time.Passport to travel at will.A better claim on what they want or what they think they deserve.

What do you think they think of Dominicans??

I'll go with that, even though Haitians are not considered latinos, Dominicans have no one else to fell superior to, that's even if they give a shyt, hahaha. But that pecking order could change in the future.

I would like to add that Dominicans are one of the largest employers of Mexicans in NYC and therefore I personally know many Mexicans who will have a merry christmas because there are working for Dominicans. I can vouch for that in NYC.
