You can pay a visit to the local registrar in the town you were born. There you'll be able to obtain a full copy of the acta in the books, that's to say not an extracto de acta with very limited data to the stuff recorded.
You can file to obtain the data from your mother and father's birth registrations as well. There you'll obtain the names and related data on their parents, be them of Dominican birth or foreigners in the country at the time the birth was recorded. You can also obtain data on their marriage certificate as well. Then you can visit the local church and see if you can get a hold of their baptismal records and yours (if you did).
Having as much information on the names and known residence of your parents’ siblings would be a blessing, especially when going the ancestry way...
Small towns tend to keep good records in their archives, do some research in person and you may find more than you ever dreamed of getting to know about your folks!!
