Ladies and Gentleman, biggest example of what media mislead may do to you, the kid hang himself because he was depressed, not because the steroids made him do it, yeah the steroids may cause the endocrine system to crash specially if you use them at that low-age, but from there to blame the suicide to the steroids, give me a break. But no!! ESPN says steroids are the cause of AIDS, Cancer, Yellow fever, and the economic recession. For example look how unhealthy Manny Ramirez, Jose Canseco, Alex Rodriguez, Ivan Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa are. That A-rod surely won't last long!! Look at Ken Caminiti, he used steroids and died because of it.... oh wait!!, he snorted half a kilo of cocaine the day he died.

À bientôt I'm glad that nothing happened to you, but if you look at the stats in the US of the amounts of liver failure related to Tylenol (acetaminophen) you jaw will drop, it is amazingly high.

I played ball at the highest levels when streoids were still legal.

I can attest to the full downside to the side affects of steroids.

As I've mentioned before, I took them myself back in The Day enough to see the anger and inner rage first hand.

I'm OK with steroids...in fact, I'd pay for front-row seats to All Steroid pro leagues. But don't kid yourself that steroids are benign. They aren't.

Cobraboy, you just couldn't handle mentally the extra hormones in your body, as the same way some people cannot handle a few drinks. Several people can and have done it. You are just one case, and you in good health thanks God. So don't blame steroids for more of what they're worth.

This has to be one of the most bizarre threads in a long time. Robert once told me that there's a lot of competing agendas taking place on DR1, and I'd say this is a pretty interesting example of it.

I don't blame you Adrian, with the constant bombing from the Media saying: Steroids is bad, Steroids is bad, Steroids is bad, the average viewer will end up believing all that and condemning it's use, without knowing any details whatsoever about it.

It is like when you are a kid and you think sex is bad because your father told you that and that's it.

Everybody has a personal story and it's not too hard for anecdotal evidence to become scientific fact on an internet forum, especially DR1.

Nevertheless, I do not recommend the use of anabolic steroids. Anabolic steroids may cause an elevation in blood pressure, acne, stunted growth in adolescents, negative virilizing effects, and in large doses liver damage.

Regardless, what I stated earlier was to debunk one myth in reference to steroids. Anabolic steroids have never been scientifically proven to cause depression or suicide.

If someone was clinically depressed or suicidal while taking anabolic steroids, then the "Nut Job" has to point the finger somewhere else.
