I know everything about Montesino, he promoted the importation of slaves from Africa to do the hard work the natives was enforced by the Spaniards...

Seriously? Really?
Guy, you're right, you should make your own thread.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and sometimes we get tired of seeing over and over and over pictures or with our own eyes, the motoconchos carrying 2 adults and 3 children. Or women in 3 foot tall curlers or tin shacks with satellite dishes on top of roofs.
Just once it's refreshing to see the beauty of DR. Places where travelers can escape their daily lives if not mentally, for a moment or if fortunate for a weekend and see the world through un-jaded eyes. There's enough sadness, ugliness, and cynicism to go around in life.
From my standpoint, very NICE photos, colorful and refreshing.
So, you do you in another thread and let those who want to see beauty through a man's perspective from his camera's lens entertain us, go unimpeded.
One Love.

There are some very nice pictures, especially of the historic buildings. Couldn't you besides copying the pictures and posting them here maybe put some more effort into it by also mentioning the location? Just a suggestion.

This threat proves the theory that beauty is in the eye of the beer holder...
