It is not only shorter, it takes away the extremely annoying driving through crap-holes like Veron, La Ceiba, Otrabanda, terrible Higuey, desastrous Benerito etc. etc. A true blessing!!!!

Unfortunately the road on the north of La Romana is not a part of Autopista del Coral.......La Romana is another hell hole to drive through.......

But traffic is still going to go though La Romana for foreseeable future ... the "La Romana North" area is still just a wilderness...

But supposedly Odebrecht is or will be working on the road on the north side of LR.
