Default Grand Paradise Bavaro Hotel

I have booked this resort for Feb/03. Hope I made a good choice. It was only $1364 CDN from Moncton, NB, Canada. Any thing I should be worried about? Was this a great deal or par for the course for this hotel. Help me out.

Thumbs up Grand Paradise Bavaro

Hi,

This is my first time on the DR board, I have been reading it for a while I think it's great!!
I was at the GPB last March and I loved it! It is a new resort so keep in mind they still have a few wrinkles to clean up! It will getter better with time! As I kept that into consideration I had a great time! I went during March break which is very expensive so I paid more than you did leaving from Toronto! It's a beautiful hotel and the beach is truly amazing, you'll love it! The food was good a lot to choose from. The staff are very friendly and have activities going on all the time! I had a great time, the only problem I found and other people have was that the front desk staff are not too helpful. There were four of us who went, two in each room and we were on seperate floors. I tried to switch rooms to be next to eachother but it was hopeless so I gave up, they were no help at all. The night manager Jessy was really nice, get to know him!
I would go again, I think in time it will truly be a great resort! I had a super great time loved every minute of it!!
If you have any questions let me know!!

Cool clubs

I went to a club called Mangu every night off the resort. It was around 20 min away, I went by taxi and split the cost with my friends 3 of us who went. I believe the club is where the Occidental Flamenco hotel is. It was a lot of fun, the club starts around 12am and we danced the night away until 5am I loved it! They play mostly merenge and bachata with a mix of dance, r&b and hip hop. They have other clubs in the area just ask the staff they will tell you where they are!
Down from the resort about 15 minute walk along the beach they have vendors with everything, remember to bargain!
At the hotel next door they have currency exchange and ATM machine.
Hope that helped!

Okey, so you are coming to my town tomorrow. Are you going to visit us here at the Hillbilly Hovel? We have beer and lots of relatives here...

Default HB's Smileys

Easy to find do a search and check them out, better yet use your browser and view the source, copy the url where they come from and then use which ever one you want. This is the best one that HB has used.
