many times a lot of people ask about the same taxi rates from the Punta Cana International Airport to the different hotels, so let's put one complete list together.
to the Cabeza de toro area with it's hotels

$25.- for up to 5 passengers, + $5.- each extra person
to the closer bavao area with the hotels

*occidental grand flamenco
*princess hotels
*paradisus punta cana

$25.- for up to 5 passengers, $5.- for additional passengers
farer bavaro area with the hotels

$30.- for up to 5 passengers plus $5.- per extra person
Uvero Alto area with it's hotels

for the Sunscape The Beach at the same rate the transportation can be arranged with the hotel(contact Sunscape Mike on this Bord), so the driver awaits you at the airport with a sign with your name on it.
all rates are daytime rates, after 10PM it is common that rates go up a $10.- for the closer areas and a additional $20.- for the Uvero Alto area.
please make always your rate clear with the driver prior to departure

i hd last month clients from Casa de Campo/La Romana and did the transportation with local cabbies. the taxi from la romana cost me just $75.- to bring the customers(3 persons) down here to the Punta Cana Marina, for the way back our Punta Cana based drivers got $90.- for the ride, and i had to fight hard to get that rate.

Taxi from PUJ to La Romana
Dear Bartolomeo
Which taxi company was that? Because we will travel to DR in january and we also need to take a taxi to La Romana (Bahia Principe). Did you call them or it was the airport taxi company?

That's such a great way to put it! LOL! On one of my first times down there, they pretended like they knew where our friends went and drove us alllll over the place on purpose and ofcourse asked us for a small fortune-they had no idea where they were.

Not to hijack the thread, but this is almost San Pedro... you will pay about 100 dollars from the PUJ airport, with SIUTRATURAL taxi company.

actual rates March 10th 2008 for transfers Puj airport to all hotels on the east coast.
rates for long distances all over the island and to any airport on request

Shown rates are one way rates from the Punta Cana Airport for up to 5 persons.
night shift(9PM-6AM) adds $5.- per ride.
