Gran Bahia Princ. El Portillo or Breezes Punta Cana

Hi

I'm considering two resorts for an upcoming family vacation;Gran Bahia Princ. El Portillo or Breezes Punta Cana. Has anyone been to either of these resorts? I'm wondering about the quality of the ffod, kid activities, beach quality and if you can do any reeef snorkeling directly from the beach in front of the hotel.
