Barcelo Punta Cana

Did you guys hear the news? Breezes Punta Cana became Barcelo Punta Cana on October 23. There might be a thread on this already, I never checked. If there is, I'm sorry.

Isn't the barcelo the beach, the casino and something else, 4 resorts in one? This resort needs work.

No, according to Transat Holidays, Breezes has been taken over by Barcelo, but has nothing to do with the other Barcelo complex. I received a fax yesterday from Transat.

That's interesting. I wonder how they are going to market that property against the original one.

Lots of competition in the area now. Prices are starting to sky rocket.

Unfortunately, Cancun is making a comeback, starting to win back some lost business.

Never had any problem like that in Cancun...if I didnt love the DR so much would just change my vacation destination of choice, but the beauty betewen the DR and Cancun, doesnt compare....DR all the way !!!!!

Cancun lost a lot of business to Punta Cana beacuse of Hurricane damage, they are back, now and hungry for the business - good deals to be had there. I never said Cancun was better.

I wonder if Superclubs will continue to manage Breezes in POP????
