Catalonia Bavaro - Royal Upgrade

I've asked around elsewhere, but can't seem to find anyone with first hand experience. I was wondering if anyone has been to the Catalonia Bavaro and upgraded to the Royal Service? I'm wondering what exactly the differences are (I hear there is separate check in, new section of the resort, private pool/beach). Is there any difference to te rooms? Is it worth it?
