Place to dance to live music

My wife and I are in our late twenties. My wife is Colombian and speaks fluent Spanish. We are staying in IB Punta Cana in Feb. where can we go to dance to live music? (merengue/bachata/salsa)?

We will not have a car but can take collectivos or public transportation.

There is the Mangu that is very popular but the music is so so, latin music on the 1st floor but more a younger crowd where to get drunk and party with lots of sankies. Also where I found the music was good salsa, mer. & bachata was the Riu Pacha. There is also a new place in some cave, not sure about the music though. There's the News Disco as well, better music good latin music as well, depending on the nights. And please take a cab or moto concho to get anywhere at night, no public transportation, not even sure if there is any.
