The buildings extend from the lobby to the beach so it depends on the location of your room. Maximum walk is less than 5 minutes.

Very few kids when we were there in April/06.

I'm an early riser so we had our pick of locations. The beach is gorgeous.

For a location I prefer the North Coast but we have to go to Punta Cana every so often so my wife can get her beach fix.

Young couples seemed to be having a great time.

We went on a long day trip to Sto. Dgo. and had a great time.

FWIW, we are returning in November for a week - the first time we have intentionally returned to the same resort.

Wow, thank you so much! You've tipped the scale far enough in favour of the Majestic so we shall be booking it tomorrow!

I've secured 14 nights in a jnr. suite for £1129 all inclsuive. Sounds pretty attractive.. its he best deal I could find.

Thanks again, so much help! I owe you!

Must admit---wave pool was fun, but time for change. Do you know anything about the golf course there? Also, one of the reasons we loved Jack Tar was the proximity to the casino. Is there one within walking distance of Majestic?

Someone described the Maj Col as beng a heaven on earth. He said that the room he stayed in had marble bathroom floor and was very clean.

Unofrtunately, I dunno if I can find out what categroy of room he stayed in as he wont respond to my msg. on TripAdvisor.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me about the Junior Suite Garden/Pool view rooms? Just briefly. Cleanliness? Decor? Location?

I ask because I cant find pictures of particular room categories on their website.

Please also let me know (if you can) which section of Junior Suites Garden/Pool views has been most recently renovated and also which section lies closest to the beach.

As always, infinitely appreciated, truely!

They all have marble floors and are immaculately clean.

There are only a couple of differences possible as they are essentially all the same...

Dark wood or light wood furniture are the only differences. All very clean. Scattered all over the resort.

Renovated??? The entire resort only opened on December 15/05 and isn't yet a year and a half old. Rooms with numbers ending closer to 50 are closest to the beach and those with numbers ending closer to 01 are closest to the lobby.

Knowing the room # locations is great info to have. If you have any info about the casino please post it. Would like to know if there are table games or just slots.
