Has anyone recently been to Paradisus Punta Cana? I need some info on the service (esp royal service) also what about the beach, the pool, food, rooms, etc.

Any help will be appreciated.

I have been to Paradisus RS year and half ago. Because of lack of RS rooms, I was given the presidential suite - nice

Services are good, lots of food, even late at night, nice beach and pool. The pool is to the left of RS section, easy walking (1 minute).

It is quite FAR from the reception - walking form the beach to the reception, at medium pace, is about 15 to 20 minutes. It's tiresome with a hot sun above. There are trains that run around, but they circle the whole property, so it is the same 20 minutes to get from reception to the room/beach. Most a-la-carte restaurants are located in teh pool/beach area. The main restaurant is, I think, by the reception. Same as the theatre for late night show.

The hotel is very close by Areito, a good disco place open all night.

My friends go there often, but the last trip was not good. they over booked all the rooms, and put them in another building , then after three days moved them again. Even though they would have prefered JUST to stay put.....plus they said some of the other single male guests paraded their temporary Girlfriends in and out in the rooms near theirs. Since they hade 3 children in tow, they didnt like that so much. There were a few other issues, that kinda made the trip much less than memorable.

I think he won at the casino more than the cost of the trip!!!!, but that didnt matter as much as having as all the issues to them . They take a trip to have a good time and dont watch their pennies worrying about the little stuff....

take it for whats its worth. I think you can get a good idea of any hotel or resort, but are never guaranteed anything...no matter which place it is.
