Question Plug Sockets?

Can someone help me, I have purchased a 'Step Up Adapter' it runds 110-220v. I has two flat pins and one round pin, will this work in the dom rep, I really can't recall what the plug sockets look like. It states on the box for use in North America and places that use 110-220v I checked that this included the DR and he said yes! We are leaving on thursday. I do have travel apaters but this is a converter which means my appliances will run to full capacity.
