Hi Everyone. We are planning a trip to punta cana in april 08. Does anyone know a good resort for snorkling right off the resort. We stayed a the Riu in 2005 and the reef is just off the beach within the roped off swimming area. It was great. We would like to try something different but are nervous. Last year we stayed a the Barcelo in punta cana and the snorkling sucked, No reef and only sea grass to see.
the bay at the Catalonia is great, no boat traffic, shallow water, you can walk the water to the reef. bring some bred and you'll have always a lot of fishy friends aound you.
