Default Snorkelling in IFA resort

Is there a reef there where I can snorkel with fishes like in Oahu (Hawaii) reef ? Thanks.
I am an experienced scooter rider as I used to ride it in Thailand and S. East Asia countries. Can I safely ride a scooter in Punta Cana ? I mean safe in both senses: traffic safety and crime.
Thanks

hi Harry, sorrily our near to shore reefs can not be compared to Oahu by far.
there is one scooter rental i know about, located at the Plaza Nautica right in front of El Cortecito on the main street, but in case of Traffic Safety the answer/my recommendation is a clear NO.
from the IFA Village you can travel around the area by public bus, the station is right at the main entrance, where the security guard is located, a ride throu the area costs you $1.- per person per ride and that public bus covers all main locations in the area, like the big shopping mall at the Melia Resort, ElCortecito, Plaza Bavaro(including the famous Corner Bar) and the Main Bus Station in case you want to do a trip to Higuey. the busses pass by your hotel in the rhytm of around every 20 minutes and run from early morning til 6PM.
have a great time
Mike
