El Pescador Matru

I am traveling to Punta Cana for the first time in June. My wife and I have traveled extensively in the Carribbean and always like to try local restaurants. I have read a few comments about El Pescador Matru and want to know is it worth the effort to try to eat there. We are staying at the Ocean Blue and I assume we can just catch a Taxi over to the restaurant. Any information is appreciated.

I also had heard that Matru was a great place to go. We tried to go for an early dinner and were told by the woman there that they were open. But when we sat down, she wouldn't come out form the kitchen area and told us they had nothing to serve but some dorado. We love dorado but she said that it was frozen and they had no veggies or side dishes. We felt we were imposing on her and left. Please write again and let us know if you have a better experience. Maybe we were there on an "off" day!

never heard of it....strange.. try capitan cook..or jellyfish
