I love the beach at punta cana, but prefer playa dorada complex enviorment. example: resort community with a plaza, movie theatre, independent resturaunts, carriage ride. Where in punta cana area can I find a similiar experience?? anything suggestions besides el cortecito would be appreciated.

It's Palma Real Shopping Center outside of Melia Caribe Tropical/ Paradisus Palma Real resorts. you have to actually wander outside of the resorts on the main road to access the shopping center.
