Default punta cana...cigarettes?

I know I know...smoking is BAD! Will be in DR week of 7/19 at gran bahia
principe. Heard it's really nice. Hope so. I'm bringing a group of 13, kids and grandkids so will need lots o drinks and cigarettes. Are American cigarettes available there? Price? What about a nice Chardonney?

If you are traveling from the US buy them at the Duty Free Shop before you leave. A carton at EWR in New Jersey is $25.

Default cigs.

I wouldn't worry to much. For cigarettes, there are comparable dominican products out there and they are very in expensive. As for booze, DR is rum central, and cheap. You just need to go to the supermarket as the have good supplies for such things.

If you are flying out of EWR the Duty Free Shops open at 6am. You must purchase your smokes and booze at least one hour before departure. Your purchases will be delivered to your departing gate.
