Place to stay

Hi
I am going to be spending 10 days in Punta Cana or somewhere very close by at the beginning of may and I we don't want an all inclusive (by we I mean my girlfriend I) a place with a little kitchen would be ideal and we were wondering if anyone has any suggestions? for about $500 - $600 US a week or around $50 a day and also does anyone know whats the easiest way to get to Samana from Punta Cana

Los Corales, Playa Bavaro, Punta Cana

just a little hint,
PC is in case of cooking/supermarkets/eating at restaurants aso not a cheap spot, a condo/app rental for a vaca here for a 1-3 weeks stay is more expensive than the AI's are.

and the area is beautiful for that.
