Default Weather in Punta Cana January

Hi There,
My husband and I are considering a holiday in January 2010 to Punta Cana. Can anyone tell me what the weather is like ie? I have heard that it's too cold to go into the ocean and pools.
Thanks!!

Too cold to go into the ocean and pool in January, where did you "hear" this, it's never too cold for the ocean or pool.

totally agreement with Debinatore.
the ocean too cold for a swim here on the Isle???
the difference between our highest and lowest ocean temperatures over the whole year are maybe a 3C.
if it's too cold for somebody in january it will be too cold mid july, too.
i can not comment much on pools, living on the oceanfront i use a pool only when we are for a week or a long weekend at a resort in the area, that's twice in may, once in september, once now during the cooler time in november and again in february. i never found it cool or cold at any time.
happy travels
Mike

Thanks for the information. A friend of my husbands told him that. I didn't think that it was true, but I had to somehow prove it to my husband!

Thanks again for your help, I can't wait to visit!
