We are currently seeking a motivated candidate for the position of
Human Resource Generalist/Recruiter. Responsibilities in this position include:
Sources, recruits and recommends qualified candidates for hourly, non-exempt
and exempt positions
Conducts screening interviews
Responsible for generating applicant flow by composing and placing
newspaper, internet and other types of employment ads
Monitors HR departmental budget
Conducts new hire orientation and processes new hire paperwork
Assists with the maintenance of the HR database
Schedules interviews
Monitors applicant tracking and prepares applicant tracking summary report
on weekly basis
Represents the company at job fairs and other recruiting opportunities
Assist employees with policy interpretation and other requests as required
Assist in researching and preparing data for various HR related activities
such as salary surveys, benefits surveys, etc.
Executes special projects as needed
Assists in the compliance of federal, state, and local employment laws and
company policies/procedures
Provides guidance to the HR Assistant
Assists in the coordination of company events
Assists with other HR functions as needed
Skills/ Requirements Minimum 4 years of human resource/recruiting experience or Bachelors degree
and 2 years experience
Experience with writing and placing employment ads in newspapers, as well as
on websites and job boards
Basic knowledge and understanding of state and federal labor laws ofboth DR and US regarding
employment, recruitment and general personnel practices
Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment with changing
priorities, have superior attention to detail and possess excellent written
and oral communication skills
Strong sense of customer service and enjoy working with all levels of
employees
Strong interviewing, presentation and administrative skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to multi-task
