Default Teaching Job

Hi. I'm interested in teaching in the Puerto Plata area and am wondering if anyone can refer me to any sites or contacts. I also would like to know what an elementary teacher's monthly salary would be. I have a BA and a B
Ed from a Canadian university.

Thanks.

I would stay in Canada and teach (getting a great pay cheque) until you have that great pension - then move to the DR in style and volunteer in the schools. If you must teach in the DR, I support you if you are going there simply to gain experience or fill a void in this country. Please do not move there because of a man - it wouldn't be worth it. Teaching is a very poor paying job in the DR. Some times they don't get paid at all. Oh, and the working conditions are terrible. Few resources.

I am a qualifed teacher from UK and have got a job teaching in a private school to start in 9 days. My salary is really good and I get good benefits. I dont care about the resources because as a teacher I feel I have the ability to be creative and create my own resources (plus I am taking my own supply of things that will help me) Cant wait to start!
