Changes (Re-posted!)
I have followed DR1 for many years now but never written on the threads before. My father has residency in the Dominican Republic and has owned a house in Estancia (Puerto Plata) for just over two years now. I have travelled to the DR several times a year for the past 9 years with both family and friends. I have worked as a volunteer in local churches with the street kids and spent time travelling through the DR.
However I have started to think about spending a summer season repping out there, Thomas Cook have asked me to interviews and if I get through all the stages I will be based in Playa Dorada. I am really unsure about it as in the past I have always where possible stayed of resort when I have been out there, however repping has always been something I wanted to try ... just for a season an figured why not out there were I know the local area and can offer tourists a small insight into the Dominican culture.
So... basically I was hoping some of you could give me some insight...
Have you met many reps out there? What’s there opinion on repping there? etc!
