I am thinking about moving to the D.R. in the next 1-3 years. What kind of employment opportunities are available for Americans? Right now I speak a little spanish and I know the best way to learn is just to immerse yourself in a place where you are forced to.
I have a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology and I am a certified personal trainer by the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Right now I am working in inside/outside sales for a construction company.
Visit and see if Gold's gym has any openings...seems to me that you should stay in the states until you have a stake, and then think about coming down here.
Personal services are very cheap, generally speaking.
Be cautious as to why you would want to come here.
