Paying in Dollars

Does anyone know off hand of major companies that would possible pay in dollars in Santo Domingo or Punta Cana?

I am no expert here...but would you actually lose money being paid in USD? You would have to exchange it and the cambios and banks charge a fee for that.

I am sure someone will chime in tho and help you out. I was just wondering if my assumption was correct.
