Default Insurance / Financial Services market??

Just wondering if there are any people on here who are involved in these markets in the DR?

I am moving to Santo Domingo in Septemeber, and will be keeping a subcontracting job back to the UK over the phone intially, however the intention long term is to establish myself in the same market there. Im just struggling to find out much about it as providers seem limited and information around it limited too...

Is there a legal framework for it? registered to be a financial advisor?
Do providers pay commissions to introducers or are they expected to charge their clients?
are there a lot of providers and are they DR based or US companies?
Is there an intermediary mortgage market? or even a need for it?

Just some pre-research really as I expect it to take rather a long time to get myself settled and ready to start working the DR market but the more information that I can get the better.

Thanks in advance

Steve
