how do i go about finding a job ?

Hi everyone,
I just finished my freshman year, and I will be heading to the Dominican Republic next week. I will be staying with my grandmother, who lives in Santiago... While there, I REALLY want to have something to do.
Things I'd do:
-babysit for an American family who would rather have an English speaking babysitter
-teach English
-volunteer at a hospital

Those are just some ideas, and it doesn't HAVE to be a job, for instance i'd be honored to be able to teach english (or other subjects) to low income kids.

I just don't know where I would go to find something like this!
If any of you could guide me where my search should begin, I would really appreciate it.

How long will you be in Santiago?

I will be there until the end of August, when I have to return back to school.
