jobs...HELP!! :)

Hi,
Im a 22 year old British woman, and have come to the decision to move to the DR permantly to be with my boyfriend and start a career. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on jobs out here, as I know little spanish, so I would be looking for something english speaking aswell as being able to earn a decent wage, which I know will be difficult to find..but a wage that will be suffiecient for me to be able to rent an apartment here, live and save enough to travel back to england when possible..
I will be so grateful to see if any one has any advice or ideas

Depends which part of the country you are planning to live in, and what your qualifications, skills and experience are.

Not knowing Spanish narrows the field, but your relatively young age, the right attitude and circumstances (total immersion) could have you speaking good Spanish in a matter of months if you back it up with structured Spanish lessons.

I think yes I would be able to become more confident in spanish in a few months with the help of lessons.
Qualifications wise I finshed school at 18, got all the school qualifiactions wise. Went on to univeristy to study 'Spanish and latin american studies' (culture, politics, economics etc..), I am actually still at univeristy, however I am unsure at the moment if I will be able to complete the course as the recession at the moment in britain. All work experienced in many areas, I took a gap year when I was 18 and became a teacher for a year in barahona, aswell as another school here in the capital and one in england. I do have a varied amount of work experience in may areas..
I am looking really at Santo Domingo, however I will take into consideration anywhere really that offers good opputunities...

If at all possible, finish your degree before moving. Once here, you may be able to find teaching work in bi-lingual schools, but they prefer someone with qualifications as well as experience. Maybe also consider doing a PGCE or at least a TEFL if you don't already have one.
