Default Summer Jobs for Two High School Graduates

My friend and I are currently looking for full time summer jobs down in the Cabarete/Sosua area. Yes we just graduated from highschool in Toronto, Canada, but we are interested in what kind of jobs would be available for us down in the D.R.. I was a resident of the Dominican Republic for 13 years until I moved to Canada to finish my last two years of high school. I do speak spanish but my friend does not. I for one am an experienced kite-boarder and surfer, if that helps any bit. Waitering gigs could be a possiblility down there as well. Any thoughts?

Default Jobs in Cabarete

Jobs such as being a waiter are ones of opportunity. You have to be here to get it when one opens up. Nothing against your coming down to see if you can find something to do, but the odds are not that good you will find something that will even cover your expenses.

You might have a better chance if you were an experienced certified Kite Instructor. You must be certified in order to teach. How much you make also depends upon how many tourists are here to learn. Unfortunately with the world economic situation, things might be a little slow this year.

Also keep in mind that the summer is not the high season here for tourists in general, eh OK? (Pardon me, I was just trying to speak Canadian.)
