Hotels have their choice of plenty of Dominicans fluent in English for customer service & reception desk jobs. And there are many unemployed right now due to hotels cutting back or converting to condos because of falling tourist numbers.
There was an ad. in Friday's El Faro saying that a new call centre in the Puerto Plata Free Zone was looking for English speaking staff now. Tel 809-970-3272. No other details were given.
