Architect looking to relocate/work in the DR

I relocated back to the US from the Turks and Caicos Islands some moths ago. I made many trips to the DR and would like to relocate there. Architects seem to make significantly less in the DR. I am also a professor of architecture so teaching at a university is also a consideration. Any insite?
