One of those stories that did not make the DR1 news summary today....seems that the new Environment Minister is determined to "clean house." He notes that more environmental licenses were issued during the three months between the May elections and the 16 August inauguration than in the previous four years put together... and that some of the so-called "permissions" held by some people were "granted" by people not empowered to do so by law, such as Senators, Deputies, Mayors...gee, in the DR??? What a surprise!!! LOL
