Note to all involved.....do not share our recipe for possum dumplings and armadillo fritters with rellosk. Also, forever more, the recipe for Spotted Owl breasts smothered in Humpback whale blubber shall remain secret.

Speaking of Texans and their predelictions, Alan has posted a very unique entry to the Green Team blog. Check it out:

The blog is looking great! I will add it to the main page etc tomorrow. Have been away and only got back this evening.

A few pointers...
Try and keep the font type and size consistent, the 3rd post is in Times Roman. Maybe come up in size for those people on 1024+ pixel screens (75%+ on DR1).

Good stuff!

Ok, thanks, Robert. I'll try fixing the font. I'm still getting the hang of this blog stuff...

Good entry. I wish AlaninDR luck in realizing his vision. I share some of his feelings:

I truly want to leave DR a better place than I found it years ago. So far, I've done nothing of benefit or value, but I hope to change that. My view of my life is that I'm just another body taking up space and contributing very little if anything other than paying a lot of taxes. With time, guidance and a vision, everyone can change.

Ok, the font situation now fixed, and Planner, comments now enabled.

Regards,
Keith (learning coding the hard way!)

More than impressive.
It is genuine, honest, humble and worthy of our attention & cooperation.

To Keith R (Team captain),
I'm not sure why anyone would have any negative comments to post about this blog, other than wishing they had done it themselves.
If this blog does not attract the most attention, it will only be because many people in this world would rather watch soap operas than stimulate their minds and get off their couches and do something that really counts.

To the rest of the Green Team - Dream Team,
Congratulations for devoting yourselves to this project.
I predict that it's going to be a lot bigger than anyone can imagine, right now.
I suspect it will attract world attention, one day, and will be the legacy you all leave behind.
Good luck, Marco.

Yes, I know you don't want to hear it quite in these words, but you're really such a sweety!

Wow. Many thanks for the very kind words, Marco. I don't know about world attention, but hope at the very least we'll get the attention of people able and willing to make a difference -- not just government officials, aid agencies, or multilateral banks, but ordinary, everyday individuals who love the DR and are willing to pitch in and help it with whatever talent and resources they can. If we can get more people to shift from complaining and declaring "it'll never change!" to exchanging ideas, forming alliances, and working together toward positive change, then we will have one our job.

I finally caught up to this thread and blog. It is so cool that so many of my favorite DR1'ers have pulled together to create such an exemplary project! I look forward to reading this on a regular basis. I cannot say enough good about what I have read so far. Congratulations and kudos to all!
