I was wondering if we had any members here that know about and are following the Eurepgap implementation and setting of standards? This is pretty comprehensive, including Fruit and Vegetables, Flowers, Farm Assurance, Aquaculture and Coffee as well as programs to certify other products such as palm oil and cotton.

This standards body will soon be the major certifyer for all products going to Europe. Perhaps the DR producers should be taking notice? Or are they already taking notice? Anyone from the DR going to the September conference in Prague?
Japan is on board with this with JGap and benchmarking, and China is also benchmarking to Eurepgap.

This is the probably the biggest pulling together of the different standards in sustainable food production and farming that the world has seen so far.

Anyone interested or following this?
