I thought the plan was for Sosua and Caberate? Did that change? Boy, I sure wouldn't start excluding Caberate with the name. All those businesses that probably are doing good these days...with cash.
I would try to include Caberate with the name.

It won't cost much.
If Mr.Rothschild has time for more imposition, how about using his impressive logos and artistry and go into the "T" shirt production business?
Jackieboo, you may want to look into this. It could be a very lucrative business that may raise serious cash and provide yet another source of earnings for a few townfolks....I'm talking about selling shirts to tourist, businesses and other caring residents for a "donation" exceeding production costs. It may turn out to be a permanent revenue-stream for "the cause".
One of the things tourists love to buy are shirts with designs unique to that location. Especially if it's for a noble cause. If I visited there, I'd buy a few to take home to friends and family! What say you?

Clearly, raising money would not be a problem, but a lesson should be learned from the Sosua Kids..legit? thread, and be sure to have a good plan in place, before raising & collecting funds.

We're all contributing here....money & ideas toward a common goal. It's not up to me to decide if it's legit or not. Also, who or how it is run is up to someone in the north coast. In this case, Jackieboo. I trust him/her is fighting for a noble cause and will use the proper procedures to administer the funds. We have no guarantees whether it's a sham but I'll go with my instincts and entrust this person with my monetary contribution, regardless.
Rocky, I don't really know what you're alluding to when you say "be sure you have a good plan in place, before raising and & collecting funds". I understand the wording, but is there an ambiguous message here?

Don Juan
You can count me on (free of charge) with whatever idea and/or design you guys can come up with, as long as it benefits the improvement of the lifestyle and existing conditions in DR.

Stop reading between the lines and you won't have to guess what I said.
I said what I meant and meant what I said.
There is no hidden meaning.
The only alluding going on here, is that you are alluding that I was alluding that Jackieboo is dishonest.
I said no such thing, nor did I even think it.
It is abundantly clear, from the Sosua Kids thread, that there are inherent problems with collecting moneys for a project/program/charity/non profit venture, without having a clear plan set in place, detailing what would be done with the moneys.
I believe Jackieboo knows I have his best interest at heart.
There was no ambiguity in what I wrote.
I surely did not put Jackieboo's honesty in question, as you seem to think.

Don Juan:
I'm not infallible, but I could bet my life (and I'm a betting man) on the sincerity and true desire of what jackieboo wants to do here.
If any of us fail to understand the value ot his selfless effort; I would add that we are wasting our time talking about anything. PERIOD.
I'm a DOER and it's very easy for me to recognize what other DOERS want to achieve, as well.
Finally...this is the first thread that I'm very, very proud to be a part of.

Thank you Don Juan.
I do understand why you would have perceived my words that way.
My reaction may have been strong, but I needed to make it 100% clear, that I had/have no doubts whatsoever in Jackieboo's honesty/integrity.
As I mentioned before, I admire the heck out of him for initiating this program.
Whether I agree with everyting the group might do, and how they go about it, is of little consequence.
It is a good thing, and that is all that matters.
I now also admire you, for being such a gentleman, to have posted the words above.
You could have easily jumped all over me for my strong reaction.
Please accept my best Christmas wishes to you and yours.
Regards, Marco.
