Jatropha Curcas is the ultimate solution for your lack of vegetable oil. I ma currently invlove in a porject that would be able to supply you with the raw matererial you will need.
And as per using B100 in your car the only thing that you might be worry of is that you will need to change the filter and some of the gaskets to tohse that cna hadle bio fuiel. not a big investment since bio diesel is running about 60-80 pesos per gallon right now in Santiago. Guys their is no need to tkae Andyman word ofr it just do some reaserch this green movemnt is coming to the Dr fast. Not just as a business but also as a weapon for poverty.

I just had a vision, in the future, the DR will be run by a bio diesel fuel syndicate consisting of all the chimis, pica longas and pica pollos!!! JK
On a serious note, is the DR a Kyoto signatory country? If so, I believe that there is a program which allows developed nations to get credits (to pollute more in their own countries) by assisting developing countries to pollute less - i.e bio diesel. So basically there could be an opportunity to get funding or equipment from the developed world to help these sort of initiatives - worth checking into, kinda large scale, but still worth a little research.

Yes, the DR is a Kyoto signatory and can get CDM credits. Getting CDM for biodiesel is relatively new, however, and may not be as easy to get certified for as, say, a reforestation, conservation, wind, solar, biogas recovery or even a wastewater emissions project.

The future of Biodiesel will be for use as cooking fuel to replace charcoal, gas, firewood, etc and for raw material for solvents, thermoplastics and other chemical rather than transportacion fuel.

this might be true, the immediate future of bidiesel in DR will be for commercial transportation. Well they are the one that will buy the economical fuel fast.
