Default Solar Power with a twist

I came across this article and wondered? Perhaps the DR should simply jump over some hoops and install a few of these.

Neat, concept, but not new. A similar pilot project, known as Solar One, was built in the California desert 20 years ago. Some pretty cool info here tho:

Default work program

BBC broadcast mentions "biggest challenge is to keep mirrors clean". Could tie this in with thread regarding work program ideas in DR. It can keep an awful lot of people working if the DR had several of these installations in place.
My "big idea" for the day. Maybe they will get better later in the day.

of these installations do you think you could get for one "metro" that services a mile of two of transportation?

Perhaps I should have place this in the the clown bin forum as a joke?
