Default Updates of Sociedad Ecologica del Cibao

We can give Financial Support to SOECI by supporting its activities. DR1 can organizea trip to SOECI Camping Grounds in the top of Diego d Ocampo. By doing this we can help the local youth that serve as guides on the trip to La manacla.
Please let me know if you will like for me to organize a trip. Their facility can hold up to 40 people overnight. They have a natural pool, a cafeteria and solar energy.

My fiance is an officer of SOECI. Drop them a note at info@soeci.org, and Nelson Bautista, the current President, will promptly answer you.

Thanks for the info! This looks like a fun group to hang out with ...

"Guides of Ocampo are organization of ecological nature, dedicated to the promotion of the Ecoturismo, the preservation of the natural atmosphere and to the support of the visitors to this zone of the Northern Mountain range.

Sponsored person by SOECI, this group agglutinates a twenty of young people between 14 and 23 years, whose vision is to contribute to forge a conservacionista conscience that drives towards the sustainability of the natural resources and the communitarian development, to show, to use and to take care of rational efficiently and our natural patrimony."

Default Invitation Grupo Ambiente

Prof. Lourdes Tapia Benoit

Coordinadora Grupo Ambiente-PUCMM

Alyonka,
I have tight relationships wit the giuas and the SOECI staff since my family(almonte) are many of the guides and we have a long history i nthe Ranchito/piche town where the capm grounds are located. I will be more thna happy to coordinate a trip to that area if we can get at least 10-15 DR1 members so we can raise some funds for the Guias de Ocmapo
