Hmmm... Actually... Chris, that's what’s called "hot-linking" without the owner consent... For one to post a reference to a website from a commercial site via that way, it's required that you have requested permission to do so...

The actual legal way to do so is:

Here is a good link about W**.geocities.com/cuyaya/birds.html for birds in Hispaniola...

People must be the ones to write the URL into their IE window or copy and paste it, not click on it...

The way I post the pictures is the "general accepted" way to do so without infringement on copyrights or hot linking...

But, Alas! I'll cease to post any picture in DR1 from now on as requested by the moderators... It's your opinion that matters here, not mine.

Picardo, at the risk of taking this thread a little further off topic, the above sentence is BS. Now, if you want to discuss what hotlinking is, please pm me. I have some good examples.

I was just on a link for the 27 waterfalls and one of the pictures show a guy holding up a big crab that lives in the fresh waters of one of the pools. Maybe that's the source of your mystery crustaceon. Here is the link. An awsome site!

Thanks for the link...the falls are great. I didn´t know of a fresh water crab here. I had thought the crab in question was the common land crab which at times lives quite far from the ocean but migrates in droves for spawning.
