can anyone identify a small lizard type thing that creeps very slowly, usually round the top of your bedroom wall- they are yellowy coloured and almost see-through with little black eyes ( not beady....lol)

its seems he is a type of salamander but the poor little fellow doesnt seem to be mentioned in my list of Dominican creatures

he may indeed be a gecko - i didnt look at the pics of them cause i thought they were spikey and lived in the desert
this is the closest match

Indeed a gecko, the ones down here (see: ( Naturacao ) are said to have originated from India

John, Yours is a baby, so it is still "see through" and the beady eyes will not be so pronounded when he is older. Cute little things, I think, and they eat mosquitoes and flies, so I leave them alone, and enjoy having them in my apartment.

heres a stupid question of the week - do they come out of eggs or are they born that size- and next stupid question what are the diamond shaped things that attach themselves to walls are they ****e, animals or eggs lol

John, not a stupid questions about lizzard eggs. They are tiny, about the size of your little fingernail and you can often find them right on top of the dirt in a flowerpot in your house. as for the diamond shaped things...no idea!
