BTW, you could have gotten another, copyright-free pic of this animal from Wikipedia:

Not zebra striped but.....
This is a test to see if I can get the image to display properly.
Please have some consideration for my lack of expertise.
This is what came to the garden, at first I thought it was the Isabellas heliconian, I am wrong.

lili4ever, you can't cut-and-paste photos in a DR1 post. If you have it posted on the internet somewhere (your own blog, Flikr, photobucket, etc.), then click on the little yellow square and put the hyperlink in, and it will display.

Thanks John, There are so many different types of birds, butterflies and even floral plants that I don't know what they are. This is a great thread, I appreciate your input.
I assumed it was a monarch, but then again I could be wrong. I find most times I am.

What does this turn into?
Took a photo of this in our backyard a year ago. Dominicans I know call it a cotoron and it's supposed to bore into coconut palms. Can anyone verify this or tell me what kind of moth it might turn into? Thanks.
 Hope pic comes through.
Sorry I've got to work on this picture thing.

I just double-checked the underlying link. Your tagging is fine, but no pic to display. Looks like either the pic is no longer there, or you inputed the wrong hyperlink.
