Limoncillo is called "guinep" in the English-speaking caribbean. Here is more info on limoncillo:

And, as a great reference for those interested, here is access to the best tropical fruit reference book I have ever found, written by Julia Morton (Fruits of Warm Climates) In her descriptions, she includes the various names each fruit are known by, by country, and good photos (the fruits are listed by scientific name, so you may just have to search awhile and get a good education at the same time):

Good list. But still missing some others found in the DR.

zapote and mamey: Not my favorite fruits, but I did enjoy zapote shake last July in DR.

cashew apple: This is what we call cajuil. (It grows around Baní)

chupa-chupa: It resembles what we call níspero.

star apple: We call it caimito (love it!)

breadfruit: Not to be confused with what we call pan de fruta (chestnuts) in the DR. I had breadfruit in Tahiti, where it is called urú. It must be cooked. I loved it but it is pure starch, like yuca.

passion fruit: Called parcha in the DR.

It is called chinola, you are right. However, parcha is how it was first called, at least in El Cibao, I remember. I now wonder if parcha was a different variety. I will make a phone call to my mother in Salcedo. (This thread is costing me money. I already made a phone call to inquire about a flower.)

Passion fruit is called chinola in DR. In Puerto Rico and Venezuela, it is known as parcha. In most other Latin American countries, it is called maracuya.
